Review of the Frosty Bowl

Review of the Frosty Bowl

The Australian Summer can be brutal in terms of temperatures which creates challenges for dog owners trying to keep their doggo cool and properly hydrated. The Frosty Bowl is designed to keep your dog's water cool for hours, making it perfect for hot summer days or for dogs that need to stay hydrated with cool fresh water.

For our review and trial I focused on a blue frosty bowl. There are no other product options except for colour. It is available as a blue or green bowl. It arrived in simple, clear packaging in a neat, sturdy box.

The Frosty Bowl consists of two pieces, The stand and the bowl. The video below shows what is in the box.

The stand is very sturdy, with several non-slip rubber feet.  The bowl is very solid with a softer inside material for the freezing process.

The freezing process is as simple as putting the bowl into your freezer for 2 hours.

The manufacturer claims 2 hours of freezing will give your doggo cool water for up to 8 hours (depending on the external temperature).

In our testing during the recent heat wave with regular temperatures hovering around 30' C, the water was still cool after 4 hours. This is a lot better than alternatives like putting ice cubes in their water and keeping the bowl in the shade.

Summary

Pros

  • Keeps your dog's water cool for hours
  • Made from durable, BPA-free plastic
  • Lightweight and easy to clean
  • Perfect for hot summer days
  • Keeps your dog hydrated and happy

Cons

  • May not keep water cold for as long as claimed (8 hours) in hot Aussie conditions.
  • Only 1 size is available.

Final Verdict - it is Dog Approved 😊

The Frosty Bowl is a handy new accessory for Australian dog owners challenged with keeping their doggo's water cool on hot days.
